9.67 million people were registered for this election, which is seen a tough completion between the ruling party of Prime Minister Hun Sen and the Cambodia National Rescue Party led by Sam Rainsy who returned less than ten days before the election, after he was granted a royal pardon by King Norodom Sihamoni on 12 July.

Over 50% of the registered voters are young Cambodians whose are between 18 and 35 years. …
